College of Excellence

In July of 1988, Chi Phi Fraternity began transforming the Krannert Leadership School into the amazing personal growth experience that it is today. Now known as the Chi Phi College of Excellence, this nationally recognized fraternal leadership academy has become the pinnacle event of Chi Phi Fraternity.

Nineteen years and nearly three thousand participants later, this three day event has grown and developed through the input of its participants, the experience of its facilitators, and the insight of the Interfraternity world. Once designed to provide only the most basic “nuts and bolts” of chapter operations, it has grown into a much more comprehensive experience.

COE is designed to develop the best of the best in Chi Phi on both personal and fraternal levels. Through its carefully crafted program and hand-picked facilitators, the COE experience helps Chi Phi Brothers develop authentic leadership skills and contributes to the overall strength of Chi Phi.

COE is powerful because it brings each individual Brother to the next level of understanding about his life and the greater good we call “fraternity” through education about his chapter, his fraternity, his world, and his ability to have a positive influence on each. If COE is great because it helps strengthen Chi Phis and their Chapters, it’s outstanding because it brings people together. It builds life-long friendships across countless Chi Phi Chapters. Through three days of living, learning, playing, and serving together - the COE experience further builds a nationwide network of Chi Phi leaders whose friendships and connections stay strong long after the program has ended.
