Chi Phi Fraternity is currently searching for candidates for as many as three open positions:
Director of Undergraduate Services
The Director of Undergraduate Services reports directly to the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for providing support and services to undergraduate Chapters and leading all expansion efforts. He must coordinate the successful administration of the Chi Phi College of Excellence, Chi Phi’s regional programs, and various Chapter and Colony workshops.
Required qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Strong leadership skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
B.A. or B.S. degree.
-
Professional experience of a minimum of 3 years in not-for-profit management, alumni development, fundraising, or a related field.
-
Ability to travel extensively (roughly 45% of the time).
Job Responsibilities:
-
Manage Chi Phi Field Executives.
-
Conduct and coordinate visitations with Chapters (Colonies), alumni and university administrators.
-
Lead expansion efforts by making expansion presentations, creating expansion materials, recruiting Colony members, and facilitating initial Colony operations.
-
Create educational resources such as the fraternity’s new member resource book, recruitment and officer manuals, and various supplemental documents.
-
Provide educational resources and training to both undergraduate and alumni officers of Chapters and Colonies through workshops, Chapter visitations, telephone conversations, email, and ongoing communication.
-
Work with Executive Director on disciplinary cases and conduct investigations at the request of the National Director.
-
Development and implementation of all fraternity educational programming including Regional Leadership Alliances, College of Excellence and any new educational initiatives.
-
Serve as Dean of Logistics and the primary staff member responsible for the successful completion of the Chi Phi College of Excellence.
-
Contribute to the successful completion of the annual Chi Phi Congress.
-
Administer the Fraternity’s annual awards program and undergraduate scholarship program.
-
Work with Executive Director and other Undergraduate Services staff to ensure that services are rendered within budget guidelines.
-
Attend Grand Council meetings, NIC/AFA and FEA conferences.
-
Complete various tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
-
Adhere to and enforce the Chi Phi Fraternity’s Personal Safety Policy.
Candidates for the position of Director of Undergraduate Services must be willing to relocate to work at the Chi Phi National Office, located in Suwanee, Georgia (just outside of Atlanta).

Director of Expansion
Chi Phi Fraternity is currently searching for a Director of Expansion.
The application deadline is June 15, 2010.
The Director of Expansion is primarily responsible for providing support and services to Chi Phi Fraternity's undergraduate Colonies. He or she will be the project manager of all expansion efforts. As a full-time member of the Chi Phi National Office team, this individual will assume significant responsibility for developing the Fraternity’s growth initiatives. Responsible for the youngest Chi Phi groups, this individual will also deliver relevant programs and presentation, assist with key Chi Phi programs and provide organizational consulting.

Job Responsibilities:

Respond to requests for administrative services to undergraduate Colonies and Colony alumni groups
-
Directly responsible for all interest groups, colonies and chapters up until 2 years of chartering
-
Develop the Fraternity’s strategic plan and existing expansion goals
-
Provide consultant visitations to all colonies and chapters within two years of chartering
-
Establish and maintain communications with universities regarding upcoming expansion opportunities
-
Attend Grand Council meetings, NIC/AFA and FEA conferences
-
Create and make expansion presentations to students and colleges/universities
-
Assist colonies in preparing their petitions to charter
-
Attend and assist in the preparation of the College of Excellence, Congress, Regional Leadership Alliances, alumni receptions and other national programming
-
Develop core alumni groups for all interest groups and Colonies
-
Contribute to the Chi Phi Chakett and Chi Phi Grapevine
-
Work with the Asst. Executive Director and Field Executives as a member of the Chapter Services team
-
Prepare a written report prior to all Grand Council meetings
-
Prepare and develop reports and guidance after all colony and chapter visitations
-
Project manage all aspects of at least four independent colonization’s per year, including budget development, alumni outreach, member recruitment, and project evaluation
-
Meet and exceed agreed upon recruitment objectives for expansion initiatives
-
Immediately develop expansion materials to send colleges and universities
-
Adhere to and enforce the Chi Phi Fraternity's Personal Safety Policy

Other duties that may arise during the year
This full time professional must be based out of the Chi Phi National Office in suburban Atlanta. This position offers a significant opportunity to travel the country (approximately 40% travel) and to affect positive change in a vibrant, growing organization that team members truly care about. This position provides its incumbent with the opportunity to hone his/her consulting, managerial, and communications skills.
The Fraternity offers generous contribution to medical and dental benefits, long term disability, a significant travel per-diem allowance, and substantial cell phone expenses. The position also offers generous vacation and sick time schedules.

Field Executive
Chi Phi Fraternity is currently searching for full-time Field Executives. Field Executives are primarily responsible for providing support and services to Chi Phi Fraternity's undergraduate Chapters and Colonies. They are an integral component of expansion efforts and contribute to alumni development. They contribute to the successful administration of the Chi Phi College of Excellence, the Chi Phi Congress, the Regional Leadership Alliances, and various Chapter workshops. As full-time members of the Chi Phi National Office team, these individuals assume significant responsibility for developing the Fraternity on both local and national levels through curriculum development, program presentation, and organizational consulting. They are front-line leaders charged with helping Chi Phi grow.

Promote participation in and drive attendance numbers for Chi Phi's regional and national events

Contribute to expansion efforts by recruiting members, training alumni, and facilitating Colony operations

Provide resources and training to both undergraduate and alumni officers of Chapters and Colonies through workshops, Chapter visitations, telephone conversations, email, and ongoing communication

Develop the Fraternity's unique relationships with each of its undergraduate Chapters/Colonies and all of its alumni clubs/associations

Facilitate and/or contribute to the successful logistical operation of Chi Phi's Regional Leadership Alliances, Congress, the College of Excellence, and other national programs

These full time professionals must be based out of the Chi Phi National Office in suburban Atlanta. This position offers a significant opportunity to travel the country (approximately 65% travel) and to affect positive change in a vibrant, growing organization that team members truly care about. This position provides incumbents with the opportunity to hone their consulting, managerial, and communications skills. Field Executives also gain significant hands on experience in business administration, not-for-profit management, and student development.
