· Founded in 1824, Chi Phi is the oldest men’s social fraternity in North America
· There are 50,000 living alumni today
· We have Chapters/Colonies at 64 colleges and universities
· The Chakett is the Fraternity’s magazine – it was the first magazine published by a men’s fraternity and served as a model for many others
· The Fraternity is celebrating five consecutive years of membership growth
· Just as college admissions are ranked based on their selectivity, so is Chi Phi – we are highly selective when we tap men for membership
· In 1996, Chi Phi received the “Most Outstanding Leadership Program” award presented by the North-American Interfraternity Conference for our College of Excellence
· In 2002-03, The Chakett received a College Fraternity Editor’s Association award for excellence in publications
· Chi Phi is the first men’s fraternity to receive the distinguished “Partnership Award” from the Division of Student Affairs at The Florida Institute of Technology (2004-05)
· Chi Phi is one of four national fraternities to host an intensive outdoor leadership education school called “The Wilderness Academy.” To date, 50 undergraduates and 5 alumni participated in the seven nights, six days experience in 2005 and 2006.
· All of our regional and national leadership programming is free for undergraduates to attend, including a rebate for travel costs for some programs
· Chi Phi maintains one of the lowest insurance premium rates of a men’s fraternity based on our outstanding claim history
· Chi Phi is one of the only men’s fraternities that hosts a legislative conference for its members on a yearly basis – June 2008 will be our 143rd Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana
