December 24th 1824- Earliest know date of the Princeton order of Chi Phi Fraternity

August 21st 1858- Southern Order Founded and UNC

November 14th 1860 Secret Order of Chi Phi founded at Hobart and William Smith College

May 29th 1867 The union of the Secret Order of Chi Phi and the Princeton Order

1867 Chi Phi Opens its only ever European Chapter in Edinburgh Scotland , it was the original Theta Chapter

1868- The first issue of the Chakett is published at Zeta Chapter

1874 - Union of the Northern orders and the Southern Order

1875- Chi Phi Fraternity goes west and the Lambda chapter is formed

1924- The E.E Sparks Medal is bestowed on the brightest of Chi Phi For the First time

1930- The First professional staff is hired for the Chi Phi Fraternity with Philip Schiesswohl (Sigma Chapter) at the helm

1930- The Chi Phi Educational Trust is formed

1939 The first edition of the Chi Phi Chronicles is published by Theodore Appel of the Zeta Chapter

1970- The forerunner to the College of Excellence is launched; it was know as the Krannert Leadership School

1980- The Thomas A Gehring Award is voted into being at Congerss

1988- The first COE as we know it is held

1993 Chronicles of Chi Phi are republished
