The Sparks Memorial Medal is named in honor of Edwin Earle Sparks, Xi 1882, Iota 1884, who was President Emeritus of Pennsylvania State College at the time of his death in 1924. It is awarded to the man in each chapter and colony who has attained the highest scholastic standing for that year. The winner must have been an initiated member for the entire year. Extra-curricular activities are not to be considered except in the case of a tie.
